Nutrition labelling

The food label provides the consumer with important information about the ingredients of the product he intends to buy. Regulation 1169/2011 / EU sets out the framework for the correct indication of the ingredients of products and their nutritional value. This information should be clearly indicated on the label and expressed per 100g or 100mL or even per product portion, and the GDAs (Guideline Daily Amounts) nutrition information reporting system.

CheMa Laboratories performs all the necessary analyzes required to determine the nutritional declaration, while it can also guide the customer in the manufacture or control of the label in accordance with Greek and European legislation, as well as the legislation of non-EU countries.

The parameters that are analyzed are the following:

  • Fat (total, saturated, unsaturated)
  • Protein
  • Carbohydrates (sugars)
  • Ash
  • Moisture
  • Salt
  • Energy
  • Cholesterol
  • Vitamins
  • Trace elements
